Thank you for using C-DARP (Crisis Damage Assessment & Response Platform). This Privacy Policy explains how inFarmer ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and discloses information when you use the C-DARP mobile application ("the App").

Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

• Crisis/damage reports you submit, including descriptions, damage classification, and impact assessment answers
• Photos and images you capture or upload as evidence
• Location information you select or confirm for a report

Information collected automatically:

• Device location (GPS), when you grant location permission, used to tag reports and detect mismatches between a photo's embedded location data and the location you select
• Camera and photo library access, when you grant permission, to let you capture or attach evidence photos
• Microphone access, when you grant permission, to convert your spoken description to text (voice-to-text)
• Basic device and app usage information (e.g., device type, OS version, app version) for diagnostics and troubleshooting

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to:

• Generate and store your crisis/damage reports
• Analyze submitted photos and report details using AI to help verify the plausibility of a report (e.g., checking whether a photo appears to match the described damage)
• Compare a photo's embedded GPS data against the location you selected, to flag potential inconsistencies
• Check whether an uploaded photo appears elsewhere online (reverse image search) and cross-check report details against public web/news sources, to help identify reused or unrelated images
• Improve the reliability and accuracy of the App

Sharing of Information

To provide AI-based report analysis and image/web verification, photos and report text you submit may be sent to third-party service providers (AI analysis and image/web search providers) solely for the purpose of processing your report. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users or the public.

Data Storage

Submitted reports and related data are stored on your device and, where applicable, transmitted securely for processing as described above. You may delete reports you have submitted from within the App.

Your Choices

• You can deny camera, microphone, or location permissions, though this will limit certain App features (e.g., photo capture, voice input, or location tagging).
• You can delete reports stored on your device at any time from within the App.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
